Family Engagement Commitment

At COMPASS Academy, we believe that student success is strongest when schools and families work together as partners. Research consistently shows that meaningful family engagement improves academic achievement, behavior, attendance, and social-emotional growth. Because of this, active family participation is an essential component of the COMPASS program.

To support our students and strengthen the home-school partnership, each family is expected to participate in the following engagement opportunities throughout the school year:

  • Open House

  • Three (3) Triple P Positive Parenting Program sessions

  • Two (2) Bring Your Parent to School Days

We understand that families have busy schedules and competing responsibilities. Therefore, multiple participation options, flexible scheduling, and virtual opportunities may be offered when possible. Families who are unable to attend a required event should communicate with school staff to identify an alternative engagement activity.

Our goal is not simply attendance—it is meaningful collaboration. Through these experiences, families gain practical strategies, build connections with school staff, and develop tools that support student success both at home and at school.

Together, we can create the consistent support system our students need to thrive.
